Application:

This product is especially effective as an aqueous dispersion composed of zinc pyrithione and other additives to prevent mildew and algae, and can be used for:

-Architectural and industrial paints and coatings.

-Building materials, including floor adhesives, caulking agents, sealants, cement pastes and joint compounds.

Building materials, including ceilings, ceiling tiles, walls and internal partitions.

Umiguard BCI is broad spectrum preservative for the protection of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. Umiguard Z40X is an effective broad-spectrum mildewcide algicide for the dry-film preservation of industrial products. This fine particle dispersion is specially formulated to not discolor due to interactions with various elements that can be present in some industrial formulations. In particular, soluble iron can react with zinc pyrithione the active ingredient in Umiguard Z40X and a gray-blue color may develop. By using Umiguard Z40X Antimicrobial in these formulations, reaction of iron with zinc pyrithione is suppressed.
